Estimates

Estimates are free and are given after someone has looked at the tree. The written figure is the price for the job as it was looked at. It changes only if the job changes — a second tree added on the day, a fence that has to come down for access, a trunk that turns out to be hollow and has to be roped down in smaller pieces — and any change is said out loud before the work continues. The ranges published on the cost page are ranges; your tree sets the number.

Storm work runs on a different clock. When crews are working through a storm's backlog, emergency removals are priced on that timeline, and the storm damage page explains why the same tree can carry two prices.

Towns covered

Greenville, Greer, Mauldin, Simpsonville, Taylors, Travelers Rest, Easley, and the county around them. If you're outside that, tell us where; the answer is a yes or a no up front, never a surprise travel charge on the invoice.

Who does the work

Greenville Tree Pros is a referral service and does no tree work itself: the independent tree company your request is passed to gives the estimate, does the job, and is responsible for it from the first cut to the last rake. Before any crew climbs a tree on your property, ask to see their insurance certificate. A good crew expects the question.

What's yours to handle

  • Confirming any permit, HOA approval, or right-of-way rule that applies to your address. Most residential removals need none; the permit guide covers the exceptions.
  • Knowing where the property line runs. A tree on the line is a conversation with your neighbor before it's a job for any crew.
  • Moving cars and anything else movable out of the drop zone on the day.

Debris and firewood

Cleanup and haul-away are part of every job. If you'd like the wood left, say so when the estimate is written so the company doing the work plans for it.

About the information on this site

The pages here describe how tree work generally goes in the Greenville area — species, seasons, rules, costs. They're written to be useful, not to be a promise about your particular tree. That comes from the estimate.
